Mr. Smith joined the firm of Garofalo Goerlich Hainbach PC in 1998 after serving as a law clerk since 1997. He specializes in aviation law.

Prior to joining Garofalo Goerlich Hainbach, Mr. Smith lobbied at both the state and national levels for the American Industrial Hygiene Association concentrating on issues related to workplace health and safety. Since graduating from law school in 1996, Mr. Smith has specialized in anti-trust and corporate contract law and has worked, on a contract basis, for a number of Washington area law firms and construction companies.

Mr. Smith earned a B.A. in History from Swarthmore College in 1991. He received his J.D. from the Washington College of Law at the American University in 1996.
